About me

I’m a bilingual English/German mama to two little girls, wife, Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner, certified Fertility Awareness Educator, and dark chocolate lover.

I was put on the pill when I was 13 to “fix” my acne.

After that, I was on and off various kinds of hormonal contraceptives for almost a decade. At 22, this nagging feeling kept growing inside me that the pill was somehow hurting my body, and that I wanted to allow my body to cycle naturally for a while before we decided to grow our family (at that point, my timeline was 5-10 years before getting pregnant!).

I just threw my birth control away mid-pack and never looked back.

I had to find an alternative.

Since I was now without the security of hormonal contraceptives and we didn’t want to use condoms I had to find an alternative. A quick google search of “natural birth control” opened up the vast rabbit hole that is Fertility Awareness. I read 3 blog articles on the topic and thought I knew everything there was to know about Fertility Awareness. Little did I know that several books, a group course, a 2 year educator training program, and several years of client work later, I STILL wouldn’t know everything there was to know about Fertility Awareness - and that I would be learning more every day.

I have since helped dozens of clients worldwide to achieve their charting intentions with confidence, whether they are avoiding pregnancy, trying to conceive, or balancing their hormones naturally.

Here's what my clients say about our work together.

"1 year after dropping my hormonal birth control, I can say that I am healthier and happier with my sex life, my wholistic health, and my ability to avoid pregnancy naturally."

“Working with Amy has been huge in helping me grow in my own confidence in reading my body. I knew hormonal birth control was messing with my skin, my libido, and my weight. After stopping HBC, I still had an irregular cycle and lots of questions and concerns with switching over fully to the Fertility Awareness Method. Amy worked with me to find the “normal” for my body, and coach me as I learned to follow my cycle. 1 year after dropping my hormonal birth control, I can say that I am healthier and happier with my sex life, my wholistic health, and my ability to avoid pregnancy naturally.”

"I found Amy when I wanted to come off the pill and wanted an alternative to hormonal contraceptives as well as managing my period pain. I didn’t expect to learn so much new about the reproductive system and how everything works together. Now I have the tools to avoid pregnancy without shutting down the reproductive system and I understand my body and its signals. I am forever grateful for Amy who was an amazing teacher, always understanding and helpful."

"After I started working with Amy we could both see my cycles improving very fast. In just a few cycles we managed to conceive. Now we are expecting a baby next spring.❤️"

"Learning the Justisse method is a vulnerable process, since you share a lot of things that you used to keep to yourself, and you also learn a lot more about your overall health than “just” when you are fertile or not. I’m so happy that I chose Amy for this - her respect, positive attitude and passion for women’s health is all I could wish for in an instructor. In my case, dealing with infertility, she’s got lots of ideas for things to try. It’s usually such a lonely journey, but with Amy’s positivity things seem hopeful. UPDATE: After I started working with Amy we could both see my cycles improving very fast. In just a few cycles we managed to conceive. Now we are expecting a baby next spring.❤️"
